“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8).
One year ago I had no idea of so many good things… like how delicious honey crisp apples are, or that soap bubbles iridescence need only a tiny bit of light to be seen. And, my own footprints do not always show a clear starting point. I can feel adoration from a puppy and adore him right back. When I return home each day there is a subtle sweet smell that envelopes me. And, the quiet floods my being, I find laughter musical. Or, opening a milk weed pod starts a storm of seeds flying that can light all over your hair not easily removed. And I can lose my favorite scissors while I work and search without finding them but realize there is hope for everything. In days of sorting through so much a wave of abundance can bring you to tears of sheer thankfulness. Studying the rippled color variation of wood is fascinating and sweaty curls on your neck eliminate glamour but ground you physically. Pink day lilies are huge, and taking a detour off the highway is a worthwhile adventure that makes your heart smile. Or in a twilight sleep an angel can be found.
There was a stop that changed all of my comings and goings one year ago but I am learning about the “honey crisp” knowing. There are great depths to the Lords compassion when I feel His unending Love I can see the blessing in trusting Him more and more. Reach to understand your purpose and look at the little things to be encouraged sweet reader.
Just two girls in the woods for ONE, back again to taste and see!
