Time

“Then Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves [for His purpose], for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders (miracles) among you.” Joshua 3:5

If something has broken your heart, God has a purifying and great purpose for you. I see it in how Louisa approaches her time in a given day.  I hear it in her conversations and recollections. And recently she gave me some notes to express her view of time. A longing to save time in a bottle as sung by Jim Croce. She notes what was lost: 2 years x 2 she did not see her son, 2 1/2 years now since he was killed, 30 years since her daughter died, 34 years since her mom died. For each moment or experience we go through, when we go to God He fills us with wisdom and a certain deeper understanding. We find Hope to renew and define our time.

The enormity of time passing presently was stated by a 3 year old, “remember momma before the virus when…” Time can seem a lifetime but yet evaporate before us. There is an impact of time in day to day changes, brokenness and grief. There is significance in the time of right now. Do we have a new found awareness like that of war time? As we wait for a return to normalcy we certainly must be more aware of time.

“With the Lord a day is like a thousand years and thousand years like a day” 2 Peter 3:8
Time here is nothing compared to eternity it is beyond our comprehension. Eternity.  Do you think you have time before entrance or do you long for it as Louisa does where she will be united with her precious loved ones? No good-byes again. Think about that. Have you readied yourself as the verse says? No matter how many tomorrows there may be pursue Faith. Now is the time. No hesitancy because delay steals time but lean in to Biblical counsel. Prepare yourself, become reverent. The wonder is worth your time. You are worth being known and in Jesus you find your worth. “For such a time as this”quoted often from the book of Esther brings forth courage to trust God right now, right where we are.

Just two girls in the woods for ONE. For tomorrow’s miracle…….
